Family Trip (ages 10 +)
*if you are under the age of 16 you must have a parent or guardian with you on the trip
Focus : Central Region of Uganda (Kampala)
What does a trip look like? A typical a ten day trip will leave on a Friday from Chicago O’Hare Airport in the late afternoon arriving in Uganda late Saturday night. Sunday morning the team will visit one of the partner orphanages & attend their worship service. For the remainder of the afternoon the team will be able to hang out with the children & get to know the school staff. Monday-Wednesday the team will visit other partner orphanages having the opportunity to view the campus, sit in on soccer practices, observe the classrooms & get to know the students. Thursday the team takes a break & enjoys an outdoor adventure that may include a safari, boat ride or shopping at the widows market. Friday the team will visit another partner school & end the week with the Fields of Dreams soccer tournament on Saturday afternoon. Sunday evening the team begins their journey back to The States. What is the cost?
$3,200 *prices fluctuate due to flight costs, currently aim to reach this goal.
*$500 is due during application process as a deposit & secures your spot on the team. This deposit & application is due by December 31st 2014.
*The FIRST person to apply for this trip will receive $100 from Jennie Wellsand’s ministry towards their balance due.*
How Can I fundraise?
There are MANY ways to fundraise for a trip like this! Some are; mail letters to friends, family & businesses, have a bake sale, sell Ugandan coffee, sell Ugandan handmade products, have a local concert featuring Jennie Wellsand.
Things to Note:
There are 7 preparatory meetings prior to travel to get everyone ready for the journey, it is necessary for you to be a part of every one. If a teenager is going on this trip & a parent would like to sit in on the conference calls, please make Jennie aware of this request.
